I don't know, maybe it was implemented. That's why I'm asking.
By the way, are you the Thomas Richter who has developed ViNCEd? If yes, could you please take a look at this https://eab.abime.net/showthread.php?t=112415 |

I suggest trying SysPatch (http://aminet.net/util/boot/SysPatch0_22.lha) an old patch but can make a difference in some graphic operations if launched before FBlit (tested on OS 3.0, 31. and 3.2.x)
Example in startup-sequence (on OS 3.2): ... SysPatch UnRemovable noexec nolayers -allocbitmap BlazeWCP FBlit FText .... |

I'd really like to experience the frame resolution of the eyes of you guys. I tried the patches, and I would not be able to tell any difference. What is it you do, which apps which games and demos do you play, what huge icons on the workbench do you move, drag and push to be able to see the difference?! ?-O

My special FastWB version is only dedicated for Workbench v44 or v45 (OS 3.5, 3.9, 3.1.4) in order to reduce the huge number of unnesssary icon and window refreshes a bit after dragging icons around at the moment when you drop and release them. These kind of issues have already been fixed perfectly under OS 3.2 in the new workbench.library v47, and therefore it's better to use my normal icon.library TC020 on OS 3.2, which is stored as libs/icon.library in my Aminet package now. |

Late answer from me but they do speed things up. Trust me. The most noticable ones are FBlit and PeterK's icon library. Executive makes the system more responsive if it's under load. |

For some reason, FText gives me lower text output with AIBBs TG test on my A1200 3.1.
030/50 32MB 60ns, maprom on, plus FBlit and BlazeWCP enabled 640x256x5. Last edited by VincentGR; 17 December 2023 at 11:14. |

The OS can be much snappier. And its not about size of icons or moving them, its about things like color remapping and amount of times it takes for icons to display at all. You wont notice it under emulation of course, but on real hardware, especially '040 and upwards its hard NOT to see the differences things like PeterK's icon library, fblit and ftext offer. |
