Just seen Tetris: From Russia with Love at my local tv station.
It's a very interesting tv documentary, about THE most known game, it's creator, the laws of copyrights and war between software publishers.

My favorite moments (no order at all):
- first version of Tetris, visualized with the use of ASCII characters
- American red boxed version of Tetris, with the name written in Cyrylica
- big Commodore logo, next to Atari logo, on some big late '80s show
- some kid playing Mario on NES, nervously pressing both fire buttons on the joypad (joypad got translated to polish as 'pilot'

)
- Tetris on Game Boy
- Japanese red boxed version of Tetris, copyrighted by... way too many corporations

- Nintendo of America building
- a few opinions about Atari's personel incompetence

Too bad I missed it. Looks interesting and I absolutely adore Tetris. And by 'pilot' I think you mean 'remote'. A false friend. (Pol) pilot = (Eng) tv remote.

Yeah, sorry - my fault. I've posted this message at a polish forum too and messed some words in each

But they meant the joypad, mentioning about "huge tv console games that are controlled by a remote"

Nope, the Gameboy version via link cable is the best. Especially when you send your friend four new rows.

Retro-Nerd - You ever played the classic version of Tetrinet ? .. Now that is cool playing multiplayer and bombing/trapping the others whilst trying hard to keep your own playarea clean.

I watched the Tetris documentary on YouTube or Google Videos a month or so ago. Don't know if it's still there...probably not with lawsuits flying and all.
