Anyone doing captures of Spaceballs demos (saw a lot of discussion about SOTA earlier in this thread) right now might be interested in the fact that a Spaceballs DVD is currently in pre-production, and will be released eventually - with some REALLY tasty extras.
commentary tracks, original sota/9f footage... Stay tuned |

Some suggestions (since I'm still unable to capture with WinUAE for some weird reason):
To represent current Amiga demos, I'd suggest the PPC demo 'By Night', by Encore. It's already been captured, see here: http://ada.planet-d.net/showdemo.php?id=283 To represent the later demos for the classic Amiga, I'd say Tint by TBL, Exit Planet Dust by Artwork, and possibly Goa by TBL. Oh, and Nine Fingers by Spaceballs, obviously. Just my opinions, of course. Feel free to ignore me. |

Surely it was Virtual Dreams of Fairlight?
If you going to recored Desert Dreams, do it on a A500 config, on a 1200 the timing was screwed (sound sync problem) I would add Phenomena's Enigma and Scoopex's Mental Hangover to the list as they were ground breaking. Maybe Alcatraz Odyssey as well as the most extravagent demo. |

I upped the Wendetta 2175 Intro from my Amiga CD on my ftp now. Just download it and see if everything works as supposed. I'll begin ripping more intros from Amiga CD's (1996-2001) when I get a confirmation from you.

Hey Bippy. Why not see if someone on here will produce a nice professional looking DVD cover for when this is completed?
Just a thought. |

Hey Bippy I haven't seen you in a while. Is it alright if I use a fade in and out effect at the start and ends of the intros/ingame in ripping? I think that way its more proffesional looking.
It seems I keep getting some minor problems with the newer games on WinUAE like took me 2 days just to figure out how to install Uropa 2 correctly and the intro wasnt working well either, but its fixed now Also Genetic Species intro was a problem but its also fixed. As you can guess im talking to Tony alot these days about it and currently im running the lastest beta of WinUAE as Tony fixed the bug in 6th Sense Investigations I was experincing. However I dunno if I should include the intro/ingame as the intro is kinda lame, so I'll be ripping other CD-ROM games first. Thus fare I completed Intro/ingame for: Genetic Species Uropa 2 Wendetta 2175 I think I'll do The Big Red Adventure next I'm open for suggestions for getting intros/ingame of some Amiga CD-ROM games as long as its between 1995-2002. |

Ermmmm Fades I'd personally say no, but if enuff peeps reply here saying they want fades then we can do them..
I say no because the real game intro's don't fade, and I want an accurate replication if possible |

Alright good enough all the ingame sequences I make will be with fades while I'll leave the intros alone. As I menioned in IRC earlier, there is a big problem with taking ingame recordings from Genetic Species. When I disable JIT the game slows down alot and as you can expect, when enabling video, its impossible to get a recording done
One solution would be to have an external recording program running while I have WinUAE on. Any suggestions? |

I would offer to help with menu/logo graphics etc. I have done a logo or two round here for Dastardly etc.
Here is a sample logo (1st attempt didn't work) |

Nice idea Sarek...
It'll definitely give it more of a professional look and 'feel' I'd say no to fades because I think cut vids will look better. Fades tend to look like someone's just got used to using Adobe Premiere. Obviously this is only my opinion. Bippy: keep it up mate, I'd sure like a copy at the end of it. You could even sell it on eBay for £60!!! disclaimer - the above statement is meant entirely in jest. |
