I assumed that was the option, but no matter what I choose, all it does is flash the screen and redraw the windows on the Workbench. I am set to PAL high res with 8 colors. I am on an A2000 '020 with 1MB CHIP. 820K CHIP or so was free when I just tried it.

I guess this is not the intended behavior? Any ideas on this? Thanks!

Does IMP3's fullscreen mode look anything like it did in the original IMP (screenshot attached)?

(As in the above post, I cannot get to this mode, if I am understanding correctly that it does, in fact, exist).

nope. this is imp1 not imp3

I cannot get IMP to run in it's own screen as well. Not at all on my 3000 and onoy sometimes after multiple tries on my 500. And when it works on the 500 it is a 2-color screen.

Update: Just tested it on my 500 and 3000 and it now works on both machines.

Works great now. So it's still windows but on a dedicated screen. Nice, can set higher res, etc.

I kinda liked the hard layout of IMP1, I must say, as it felt more "demo" or "tracker" ish. This is probably more practical.

Is there still a "mark this mod as bad / disliked" feature? I don't see it in IMP3.

update! more colors, more prefs, keyboard disk/stash navigation!!

info window: big ">>>" button to switch pages

moved "save" button to player window

private screen now have 8 colors

prefs -> colors - customize used colors (scope, text etc)

disk/stash now is showing focused line, use arrows to move it, enter = click

key ESC close disk/stash/readme window

F6 now always activate and move to front disk window

arrow up (last chat command) fixed when other window than chat is active

picked a screen resolution that wasn’t supported by my RTG card and now I get a black screen…went to the pref file in S and there’s nothing there?

how to edit the screen prefs so I can change it back to a screen mode that my RTG card can use again?

tried running it from shell as per readme from the original imp download on aminet but still same black screen
update:
tried running original imp and it loaded up but then screen comes up saying imp was updated to imp3 and to please restart program again but still same black screen? even tried rebooting

Boot with no startup sequence.
Or just switch your WB back to AGA and run imp.
Then press the amiga key and m to switch back to wb.
Now drag the wb screen down.
You should be able to see imp as it will be promoted to AGA.

won't work as I don't have a 15Khz monitor handy right now. Was thinking to delete all files on system and just start it up again.

You can try screenmode promotion tools, would make any system friendly screen opened by programs an rtg equivalent.
