I saw that most commercial games and multimedia on stock CDTV run good and with excellent performance. For sure it could be good for some homebrew software that was slow on 68000.

I'm a bit worried. I wan to use 7-bit SPI adapter with this, but I obviously need some kind of cable for it and I have no idee wich way is correct orientation to insert it. This doesn't tell it wich pin is 1 https://retro.7-bit.pl/?lang=en&go=projekty&name=SPICP

But I see your point. We don't know if pin 1 is the one on the top or the one on the bottom.

Maybe, thought that one is 500€ without a CPU and it is not proven to work yet.

This on is 130€ and is proved to work.

But yea.. Most people would probably be *more than happy* with the 020+ FASTRAM + IDE.

Its nice that CSLab guys make all these variants, as the main development of the actual hardware and software is already done but due to the situation with 060 prices, the Warp card wont become mainstream even if the card itself would drop in price.
But who knows, some time from now they might scale down the design, remove the extras and do some budget variants.. Say a 040 card with 16MB RAM and IDE for a couple hundred €€€ would be plenty for most users.. And 040s are basically just as cheap as 030s..

68040 cpu, 64mb ram and IDE that would be nice. I don't want to have that kind of "monster card".

As a CPU 68040 is cheaper than 68030, still 4x more powerfull by mhz and there are no fakes.

It's well known that a lot of 3D games are slow on a stock A500. Speed is a problem with a lot of adventure/simulation games lazily converted from PC to Amiga too (have you tried to play Sierra games on a stock Amiga and then on a standard PC from the year of their distribution?).

Well, on an accelerated CDTV or A500/A600 (28Mhz but even 14Mhz is as nice as on a stock A1200 in terms of speed) :
- Fast loadings on HDD (as CPU speed directly impacts read/write speed on HDD)
- Lot of 3D games and PC conversions smooth and fast
- No more slowdowns on some WHDLoad installed games.
- Lot of Workbench applications that slowdown with 7Mhz CPU fly (I think about some replayers on Delitracker or Eagleplayer)

And I'm sure I'm not exhaustive and that many other stock A500/A600/CDTV owners would have lot more ideas of the nice things offered by such an acceleration card

I would be curious to know what to do on an ECS Amiga that would require a 68030 or a 68040. With a 68EC020 at 28mhz, you got an Amiga twice as fast as a stock A1200, four times faster than a stock A500. I don't know any ECS content that would be more interesting on a 68030/40 than on this 68EC020, just because I don't know what content could need more than 28Mhz, even on 68000, to be fully working

Well done, a wonderful piece of hardware. Does it work on directly on CDTV with its specific ROM enabled? No memory address problem?

I'm a little bit puzzling about the fact this one has been designed for CDTV just because of the RTC. On CDTV, some cut on trace and pin modification on 68000 socket have to be made to be able to enjoy a RTC memory if the motherboard is plug off electricity).

But if this card perfectly fits in the case and works with all CDTV options enabled, so even if the RTC isn't usable, it's a god damned card, for sure

There are some and most of procutivity apps get benefits of faster prosessor.
