SAS/C 6.50 and Updates

Hi, I dont find working SAS/C 6.50 and the update files anywhere. The 6.50 files and the updates that are in the server are incompatible with each other for the most part.

Anyone can put the correct files in the zone, please? Thanks. I want to make tiny tools and games for Workbench, things that the entire Amiga community loves and needs.

Thanks leffman. This is what I need. And please, do you have the ADFs and the patches, to me put in my collection?

Thanks even so, leffman! Its always good to thank nice people.

But, do anybody have the ADF images and the archives of the updates and would like to post them in the zone?

Its so difficult to find the correct dumps of this excellent compiler, to be able to patch it with the updates... I think that access to its original ADFs should be public.

I would be delighted to have them.

Sorry Leandro I don't have the patch files anymore. I think I found them on an old support site of one of the developers, but I can't remember the address. The Y2K patch is on Aminet, and I can upload the SAS/C 6.50 disks if you want me to.

I understand you want to do the installation yourself to make sure it gets done right, but if it's to any consolation the archive is a complete and unmodified SAS/C that was installed in an unmodified WB 3.1 environment.

If I find the patch files I'll let you know, unless someone else here has them for you.

All OK, leffman, I am super glad that you understood my point well. I worried that you would think that this would be a big lack of consideration and respect of me.

Someone linked to this post from a newly started thread, and I've posted this somewhere else but can't remember where, so for completeness sake here's a link to the original disks and patch-files (though I recommend using the finished install linked to above):

Thank you Leffmann! My original Lattice and SAS disks have not survived their journey from the 1990's (although the manuals are still good). Thanks to you I can tinker around with my old source code again. Much appreciated.

I am actually SO glad I stumbled over this link!
Just for pure aestetic fun I am about to do some C-Coding steps for an emulated version of my (Now nonfunctional) A2000... Another project waiting to be repaired somehow...

I am still in the process of creating a vanilla virtual machine with harddrive for my WB1.3 environment, so I can start from where I once left

Some time ago I have failed to install SAS C 6.5 or 6.0 from an anchient tosec zip file (V0.23) I found in my archives - somehow the installation of SASC6.5 and the patches was very hacky (I remember I had to edit the installer script/config files to run at all... ) and finally I was not able to find any amiga.lib there and my code did not link.

Now I am going to redo from scratch again - and alas my own SAS C disks have been full of read errors... but the manual looks still interesting after all the years

So press thumbs that with this files here all will go well
