DungeonMaster 2.0 (hacked for HD) with KS 3.1
Hello there
I'm also trying to run this GREAT version. This version says clearly it won't work right on 3.x KS, but it does, except a second mouse pointer is displayed... ahem, it seems killptr doesn't work in 3.x KS! Is there a killptr replacement of some kind for 3.X KS?? thanks! |

The Whdload version doesn't work on the Minimig, but this version works very nicely, and is fast and doesn't require much resources.
So all I need is a KILLPTR replacement for KS 3.X versions... |

Roy: yes, of course. Karlos at a.org pointed me in the right direction to fix it, using the mouse pointer editor (wich is located in the EXTRAS Wb 3.1 disk).

Is there a KILLPTR version that works in 3.X KS? |

Use WB1.3 (Must be 1.3 or earlier!) preferences tool to create empty mouse pointer image. Copy devs:system-configuration to your boot disk/HD.
Works without iprefs or even without startup-sequence. |

Thanks, Toni, but that solution would leave me pointer-less in every boot: I need a solution to hide the mouse pointer on-demand.
The adddatatypes + iprefs + prefs/pointer solution would be OK if I could run iprefs WITHOUT the dialog it launches. WHY does iprefs create that dialog about intuition windows being reset? That dialog is NOT created if I run iprefs in the startup-sequence, so, is there a way to avoid it?? Tried iprefs >nil: without any success...damn dialog still appears (and, since iprefs loads the hidden-empty mouse pointer, I can't click on the damn thing) . roy_bates: your advice is not stupid, I thank you for trying to help me, really
I can edit it to a no-cursor anyway, that's the solution Karlos told me about. |
