ISO problems...please help!

Hi all,

I'm obviously retarded, as I don't what what the hell I'm doing!

When I download a compressed CD32 game ISO, I get a really small ISO image & a really large .bin file.

The ISO obviously isn't complete & what about the .bin file?!?!

All I want to do is write CDs.

PZ.

Which game? Can you post a screenshot of all uncompressed files? Maybe the .cue file is missing.

It happens with almost every game I download.

.cue file? Now I've got no idea!

A Bin & Cue is a raw 1:1 cd image dump, check here for more infos about the .cue sheet file.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cue_sheet_%28computing%29

I'm a bit suprised that you haven't the needed .cue files. They usually shared together with the .bin file.

Where did you grab this games?

Edit: Can you check the 1 KB file with an editor? Maybe it is the needed .cue file. Should be look like this:
Quote:
FILE "NaughtyOnes.bin" BINARY
TRACK 01 MODE1/2048
INDEX 01 00:00:00

Ah hah!

Yep, Windows just displayed a confusing icon.

I looked at it properly and it is obviously the .cue file.

But how do I turn these back into a CD?

I usually just burn an ISO with Nero or place all files on a CD with Windows, but never had to do this before...

Thanks for you help too

You can burn the game with Nero: Just rightclick on the .cue file (i hope you renamed it to "NaughtOnes.cue" or something) and choose "Open with" and browse the Nero exe.

That didn't work at first, but it was just because of a bad Windows install.

Tried it with a different HDD (dual boot PC) and it worked great!

Thanks heaps

Now more problems...what the hell do I do with these files?

Nero won't burn them and the .img one alone is too big for a CD anyway...I'm stumped!

Sorry for always asking questions...one day I'll be able to pass on the knowledge though...once I know what I'm doing that is!

Hello Fingerlickin_B,

This is a CloneCD image...

Doesn't matter about the size, it will burn to a CD when you use the correct program (grab from the above link)

Excellent, thanks Damien

I used the Clone CD demo and it worked great...I may even purchase the software, it's really easy to use

Molly the Sheep logo is a nice touch from the author too (read: clone)

There is no need for CloneCD, since Alcohol can dump & burn Clone CD images.
