Castlevania disk

Sorry for posting here just after registering. I am not really trying to make money, instead I was just wondering what could an original Castlevania disk for Amiga be worth. Just to have an idea by asking serious Amiga worshippers.

Thanks!

Hey pal, do you have the hardware to image this game ? I mean create an ADF
and dump it for Softpres ?

in clear, do you have an A1200 ?

I've seen way worse. It's just barely playable.

I only have an A500+ and an A600, but the game has been dumped millions of times, why would you need it?

Have a look here : http://www.softpres.org/
They currently don't have the game on their list of preserved games, which is why your disk might be interesting for them.

Thanks for the link. I see they also need The Short Grey, it's good I still haven't loaded that game even once.

Anyone for the original thread's purpose?

The shortgrey ? This game is now preserved but it has a virus on all copies we've found out there.

If you can create an ADF of your original, that would be great !!!

Which country do you come from ?

Seriously, what kind of virus? I see it's still listed on the main request page, maybe you should delete it in your next update.

Cheers.

Hi Tyree,

Please get in contact if you have software not preserved or wanted.
That does include Shortgrey.

Thanks

Did you agree to dump the ADF then?

I'd love to have a go at an Ami castlevania. I hear the graphics and sound are REALLY different. Like a whole different style.

You can get it from the EAB file server already. Guess it's just about getting an unmodified (and hopefully virus free) original here

As I told dlfrsilver, I'm not really willing to take the risk having the game lost or damaged during shipping. I know I sound like an ass, but I've been looking for an original copy for so long, and I believe it's extremely uncommon - so I prefer not to take any risk. I'll be able to properly dump it the day I'll have an A1200, at least I hope so.

I do play with this original disk, but I never saved my game, so hopefully the game is still original.

Yeah, I have to ask... If the ADF-dump is infected with a virus... then that's no fun to DL, surely?

Or have the ADF's been modified so that they are cleaned out from any unwelcome critter-code?

No idea. I use the Quartex crack for years now and since I only use it in WinUAE as an ADF I never had any problems. You know of course that an Amiga virus it would only affect other Amiga disks/disk images if you put them in while the emulation is still running. That means : Shut it down after you played = safe
