Yeah, I'm almost certain of that.
We are so close now to an almost perfect translation / modification; it would be good to finish properly Quote:

I've put a clean disk set in The Zone! which has all the up-to-date changes and is named correctly for TOSEC.

It's only text (size doesn't really matter) the game will display them regardless of the size.
With the object tools of amos pro, it is possible to reduce or increase the size of the sprite in the bank, I have modified some in my modified banks. Last edited by Aladin; 07 October 2020 at 11:54. |

I've done a "Loading" one i.e. "Sprite2.iff", "Sprite7.iff", "Sprite20.iff" and "Sprite40.iff":
"Loading.zip" is now in The Zone! The "Gave Over" one is more difficult; when I shrink the image down to fit on "Sprite157.iff" it looks very bad. Also, how does it know where the shadow is when the background is black? I would have thought the background would be transparent. |

luckily you don't speak French. You would have looked for the differences on original Sinuhed. Yet it is my most successful translation and which asked me the most work

Anyway, here's how it looks: "GameOver_mod.zip" in The Zone! I'm not sure if it's correct i.e. with the white background, and how you'd make that transparent on the Amiga? Last edited by DamienD; 06 October 2020 at 22:12. Reason: ...slight change to "GaveOver" |

in amos pro object accessory, transparency is the first color
@Clenched This time it will in most cases change the English banks (for those who have only a text sprite, you can also use the original bank) I put the english sprites a little higher, and you will find the english banks in the first post if you want most space for a sprite in bank, i can increase a sprite (but I think you can do it) Last edited by Aladin; 06 October 2020 at 22:03. |

I see these object sizes are altered. DamienD picture is correct for original. There is no way the plain binary substitution works here. Maybe AMOS can blow these up to Mars but it doesn't help unless the substitutions are made first. Also my savestate no longer works with the latest disk 3 attached. . Code:
Original g1_2 DEBUG: object #156 at $AC62 size=3850 DEBUG: dimensions: 112x55 DEBUG: planes: 5 Original g2_2 DEBUG: object #156 at $90F6 size=3850 DEBUG: dimensions: 112x55 DEBUG: planes: 5 ===== UK patch from post 1 ===== g1_2 DEBUG: object #156 at $AC62 size=2940 DEBUG: dimensions: 112x42 DEBUG: planes: 5 g2_2 DEBUG: object #156 at $90F6 size=2760 DEBUG: dimensions: 96x46 DEBUG: planes: 5 Same game over picture put on CZ files. Anything else that was changed will have to be put back. Disk 3 is a gamble since it's unknown how much new set of levels affects palette. Looks good. For "LOADING":
The bank with one text (you can use original bank): data_d_1 (AmSp) Sprite2.iff « nahrávám » « loading » data_o_1 (AmSp) Sprite40.iff « nahrávám » « loading » banks with several texts: data_i_2 (AmIc) (you can work with your modified bank) Sprite20.iff « nahrávám » « loading » data_m_6 (AmSp) (i changed your bank, you need to use the new one) Sprite7.iff « nahrávám » « loading » Game Over in G1 and G2 are OK Last edited by Aladin; 07 October 2020 at 11:00. |

I've already made loading messages from UK archive. Palette changed on me so the yellow was wrong. That was fixed and used on the remaining ones. So no visual inspection after the first one has been done. Maybe they can be checked with AMOS.

Bad news. If you make it to level 16 and above then Czech hall of fame is pulled from disk 3. Also quitting to main menu pulls Czech menu from that same disk. So disk 2 work needs to be duplicated on disk 3. The rest of it looks good.

I used the 1104k zip from the Zone!, less than a day old + my latest 6 files.
EDIT: Maybe because I use disks and you use hard drive? I see duplicate names on disk 2&3. Last edited by clenched; 07 October 2020 at 13:56. |
