How do I obtain an emulator for my linux mint
Hello would like some advice. I have recently moved away from windows XP and begun to use Linux Mint 9. In XP I had great success and enjoyment playing my favorite Amiga games and would love to set up a similar situation now on Linux Mint. Does anyone know which of the emulators would be the best. Thank you.
I took a punt and set up e-uae it works OK. Last edited by catwatch3; 10 December 2011 at 14:55. Reason: answered my own question may be |

In other threads, people on linux have indicated that best performance comes from running winuae on windows xp in a virtual machine using virtualbox.
Others run winuae on wine although with a few gui issues. I would give these both a try. |

yup, e-uae is your best bet for Mint. I found the uae package a bit buggy. I can't honestly remember what exactly was wrong with it as its been a couple of years now, but e-uae was definitely working better for me. of course it DID lead to getting so much back into it that I picked up an A500 so I was doing it "properly". My Mint laptop still gets some Amiga action providing an internet connection for the A500
