We had good Amiga games in Deluxe Pacman and Gauntlet 2/Garrison, so an easy choice for me is Rolling Thunder, hard to believe the Spectrum version is still the best home version, i loved it at the time and drooled over the Amiga/ST screenshots in the advert, if i only knew as a kid it played like dog poo!

No way; Rygar is probably 100 times harder...

With Wonder Boy, stage backgrounds / enemies basically repeat

No probably about it.

Would need to update the scroll routine and then game over.

Wonderboy is more work because it has like 2912981984219 levels and secrets to figure out etc, but technicaly its a simpler game. No Parallax, less colors on screen, less stuff moving, it only scrolls to right (with the ocasional vertical movement that's triggered automatically by the game, not by player movement), so scrolling routine can be a lot simpler and just trash whatever has already passed by, enemy behaviour is generally simpler...

An A500 could do Wonderboy with no problems. Technically it's a very simple game to reproduce.

Problem is, like I said, it has a shtiload of levels. Longplays videos of it are around 70 minutes long. Rygar is half of that. It is going to be a long and boring task to map all levels to have them intact on an Amiga port.

But it's very doable.

LOL. Exactly

So give it another go on MAME my friend

Wonderboy has many platforms that goes left/right, up/down, fall. Finding the bonuses/eggs/dolls and placing them (some appears only if you jump on a specific place). Changing the scroll routine when you have the skateboard or loose it, etc. Bosses are bigger also.
And even if the background may repeat, the traps are different.

This is what I meant by "more difficult".

Tough one from that list!

I'd like to see wonderboy, closely followed by shinobi.

I'd also say, McGeezer should do his own game.

Would be amazing to see what he could achieve on AGA being unleashed from the restraints of doing a 1:1 port, with Invent (or me? ) doing the graphics..

Show us what AGA can do, Geezer...

Power Drift was coded by ZZKJ (so decently); am afraid that an improvement like fedepede04 did with outrun might simply not be possible, but who knows?

Are we talking only about arcade games to choose to port? Or other systems are allowed too? I think ms dos got some nice hidden gems like:
Epic Pinball
Psycho Pinball
Zyclunt also known as Blade Warrior
Iron Blood
Raptor
Sideline
Prehistoric 2

I voted for Final Fight.
Simply because there's no Capcom style beat em up on the Amiga, and it really lacks quality titles in this genre.

I would be perfectly happy with your unique beat em up, doesn't have to be FF.

Shinobi would be great, but we already have these type of games pretty well done (like Shadow Dancer).

I voted "do your own", but am fully aware that would involve having to somehow do graphics, sound and music assets which complicates matters quite a bit. Maybe a good mash up so you can borrow assets from existing games

Yes, but it's not that great port... we also have Final Fight, but...
Shadow Dancer is very cool port.

As for beat em up, except Golden Axe (that was imho, bellow average beat em up (even on Arcade)), there is no single good beat em up on Amiga.

Amiga really needs something like: Punisher, Cadilacs and Dinsaurs, Captain Commando, Final Fight, etc...
