Thor Keyfile
Im a registered user of the Thor mail/newsreader , I hadnt used it in eons and as a curiosity just trying to boot some of the old apps in winuae.
While checking for a replacement keyfile I notice that the thor site is still up, http://www.thule.no/ however is pretty dead, no response to mail, their online registristration link is broken, as is their mailing list and doing a google usenet check, came up with only 2 or 3 on topic post in the thor NG in the past 3 or 4 years and while the odd die hard posts a new script occasionally in the thor section of aminet, the core application hasnt been updated since 1999. The program looks quite deceased. I have sent out a few emails to request a key and suggest they publish a public key or even opensource the program but so far the mail addresses seem as dead as the website. In the mean time, if anyone has a keyfile they could post to the zone it would be appreciated. Thanks Dondilly |

Since there has currently been a new website created
http://www.deadwoodinc.net/Keyring/ To centralise these Keyfile registration & storage of "deadend" registration keyfile questions You have Highlighted a program we have not as yet addressed Consequently I will notify it's "webmaster " Lopos2000 an ask if he can research this issue for you, with the aim of finding a way for a key to be made available woody57 |

Since there seems to be no way to register it anymore, I have uploaded a keyfile for the program to the Zone.

ok thanks guys, much appreciated.
my interest in the program is mainly nostalgia and retro curiosity. If we can get contact with them, as the authors appear (at least then) to be hardcore amiga coders writing an excellent shareware prog rather than a company, we might stand a good chance of getting it open sourced and bought into the modern world. It was an excellent comms app in its day. |

just try the ftp server - search for "thor key" - without quotes.
