Good morning, my italian friend, AMIGASYSTEM,

please read first what Steril707 is really trying to do, even it seems to be pretty pointless in my eyes. He want's to run AfA_OS on OS 3.1 and NOT on OS 3.9 BB4 or whatever. I must admit that I was surprised when I saw that AfA_OS really claims to support OS 3.1 in its guide. I won't expect support for any of the more sophisticated features of AfA_OS under OS 3.1.

But why not experimenting with illusions?

I noticed as well that this was a bad idea.

After I installed 3.9, all my problems with AFA OS went away, and stuff simply worked magically (just don't forget to select a FPU CPU in UAE )..

I also noticed, that I will just stay with Visualprefs, Icon.lib 46.4 and Birdie on 3.1 and won't use AFA.

But you will lose graphic quality and the icons and skins that AFA OS offers

That's true..

But I guess I found my personal sweet spot for how a Workbench should look like with the birdie/Visualprefs/PeterK-Icon.library-Combo...
Plus that works with 3.1.

A simple Google search would answer all your requests! http://amiga-news.de/files/AfA_OS_V4_8.lha

It was. That post is from February, the zone only hosts files for 60 days.
You would have found it on the ftp or by a search.

Files in the zone get transferred to the ftp eventually, if you're looking for a file in the zone but it isn't there you'll usually find it on the ftp.

I created new icons for my AfA-OS, on the new drawers glued the old but beautiful OS3 icons.

Those icons look great AmigaSystem. BTW you're telling about them as if it was so easy and fast to use two images and make those icons, but I know that it isn't.

Could I use them as another option for my AKReal distro and share them for free like always?.
Just thinking

It is not difficult just to find a basic drawer and then paste the images of the Amiga icons (rename from .info to .png), made this IconEditor does everything by itself, see video

Creating Dual-PNG Icons

Forgotten! these Dual-PNG Icons can be used with some applications also on Windows (single face), see screenshot

If ever there will be an update of AfA-OS I will donate my icons to this OS.

@Amigasystem, what would be the requirements for running your pimped Alfa OS on a Real Amiga?
