This guy's project is basically an Arduino-based bridge between the Amiga's parallel port and one such SPI serial Ethernet module. Looks very interesting! |

great link - here it is at archive.org: https://web.archive.org/web/20171017....net/Indie.htm
this type of content would be better served on a wiki somewhere - maybe the eab one? |

Yeah, it would be nice to have a replacement - archive.org is fine for recovering old stuff but it can't be updated, or have broken images or links fixed. At the moment there are loads and loads of homebrew hardware projects available, right up to replacement motherboards. A Wiki somewhere would be a good option.

https://exretro.com/amiga_ihp_wiki/doku.php?id=start If I set it up right, it should be possible for other to register and add content / create new pages. Its mostly a listing of tags, so you use the wiki to search,,, say.. "CDTV RAM expansion" or something like that and it returns the links of the pages with those tags. From there you basically get a link to the developer, not a direct link to the product (mostly to reduce administration). |

Unfortunately, I am too busy with life and Amiga projects I am involved in.
I wish I could have days of 35 hours to be able to continue with this endeavor and other Amiga related stuff. I think the idea I had would still provide a much needed indexing service for this community. |

The easiest thing to do would be just to setup a github repo and make a .md list there; people can submit PR's for additions/changes to the list. You can add additional people to manage the repo and so it doesn't rely on any single person to keep alive.
Wikis and pages set up by individuals require maintenance and time and while I'm not saying github will live forever, it's unlikely to go away at least for the foreseeable future - and being git, it's easy to move elsewhere and keep a local copy. |
