Of course, I converted the IPF of ISS to HFE v3 proper. Why would I deliberately mess things up with my own setup ?
So here is the CRC32 of the HFE v3 I made through the use of HxC Floppy Emulator v 2.5.6.6 :
Code:
CRC32 : 09469D21
I just zoned the HFE v3 of ISS, so anyone can give it a try on his or her Gotek if need be. Said game gurus with 1MB chip, and fails to load with that amount of ram halved through the use of the middle switch at the back as I explained earlier on.

To sum up, here's a list of all of the games that won't load on my machine :
- Extrial (1995) (Computec Verlag)
- ISS aka Incredible Shrinking Sphere, The (1989) (Electric Dreams)

probably KS 1.1 / 1.2 related :
- Academy II - Tau Ceti (1988) (CRL) at press fire screen, the game is stuck
- Final Assault (1988) (Infogrames) That issue was addressed with the release of the French & German versions apparently
Feel free to suggest workarounds.

probably related to the A500 CPU / blitter not being powerful enough :
- Enhanced version of Leisure Suit Larry I : uber slow gameplay

The problem is Kickstart and memory related. On 512k 1.3 Amigas, the game will not load its files correctly as the IOStd structure will be trashed during loading which results in the game hanging after a while. On 1.2 512k Amigas it will work and it's the configuration the coder used for testing, as the result of the memory allocation done in the bootblock returns a pointer to $A3E0 which is exactly the location the game will be loaded to (using a hardcoded destination address of $A3E0).

A fixed version which will work on all Amigas will be available in a while.

That's good news, thanks in advance for offering effective fixes for this minor classic StingRay.

1.2 512k Amigas, these should be rather uncommon these days I guess. Folks owning any of these machines were also able to play a couple of early Electronic Arts titles, among which that bare bones basketball game "One on One" without having recourse to any fixes IIRC. One on One was released for the A1000 in 1985. How time flies, none of us are getting any younger!

Indeed. Game also works on 1.3 but only if additional memory is available, the IOStd structure won't be trashed then.
