So BarryB can request IPF for Big Nose just like I can request King's Table (uploaded my old dumps into the zone).

Spell Bound - You have right, it's HOL link in SPS databse bad just like info in HOL database as well but file is indeed Psygnosis release

As for Traps'n'Tresures I only have disks (english not deutch) but from polish release and disks are in bad shape (something is stick on surface of disk 1).

Edit. disk 1 bad from start, disk 2 is ok but since there isn't any official english release I'll skip this one. As for King's Table - You decide, don't like this game.

As i mentioned in my post here: I personally won't share any IPF's that are not in the SPS Database. It's only fair to Denis to not distribute any IPF's that have not been verified/numbered by the SPS Team, don't want any comebacks on Denis for sending IPF's to contributors that subsequently 'share' them when they are not in the SPS Database!

It's only up to You what You are do with those files. Bear in mind that we have now tool that can create IPF from CT Raw and tool is available so anyone could make IPF from it's own CT dump. This workaround until official ones will be available if ever.

I would suggest that once you get your temporary IPF, you can perfectly make an ADF out of it, or an extended ADF that you can share, or make an ADF for installation under whdload.

I'm not going to make unofficial IPFs out of my raw dumps except for polish games. I think it's close to 0% changes to see official IPFs from polish games. That's all what I had to write about unofficial IPFs.

The only that really interests me is dump from original traps'n'treasures disks (not matter what format since game does not have any protection as I know) just for whdload install. Adfs are fine.

I have uploaded a large set of CT-RAW images that I made quite a few years ago and not received any update if they are modified, fit for preservation, etc.

Would be good to get these verified, etc. I did have some of these on an old SPS FTP server at some point.

They are now in my EAB FTP uploads folder:

Crime Wave from Erbe has a faulty disk 2, Manhattan Dealers is faulty as well.

Leonardo budget and Medieval Warriors are unmodified (IPF), and all the other titles are modified : Soul Crystal, la aventura original, street cat, Street Sport football has a modified boot track (check if it has a virus on?), test drive

Hi Denis,

Thanks for the very quick turnaround.

I re-dumped Crime Wave earlier today on Kryoflux with AmigaDOS sector guidance on did not see any errors. Maybe old dump on the Amiga experienced issues.

Here is a new CT-RAW dump I did earlier.
CrimeWave-Redump-CTRAW.zip
Now in the same folder.

Just uploaded the following:
CHIP1-CTRAW-Redump-Works.zip
Stock Market v1.0 with Patch (1990)(ComputerEasy)(US)-CTRAW.zip

More information on the C.H.I.P. (Computer Home Interactive Pack) 1 compilation:

http://www.oldgamesitalia.net/museo/..._-__C.h.i.p._1

https://archive.org/stream/Amiga-Mag...e/n11/mode/1up

https://it.wikipedia.org/wiki/Genias

Stock Market : The Game is a re-release of the 1987 version with some modifications to the disk (runs a patch file). Was re-published by ComputerEasy in 1990. Hopefully unmodified. Checking ADF-Workshop only shows the 1987 and 1990 dates.

About Morton_Strikes_Back-AGA. This was shareware game so less than 1% chance it's duplicted professionally. It's rather copied on amiga.

Rorkes_Drift - dumped small box version but still does not have IPF.

The_Big_100 - I will have this in next 2 months.

Alien Fires 2199AD - dumped long time ago, it has already IPF, another version?

Phobia - 2 version known to exists - UK and spanish (but disks might be the same). Do You have other version ?

Barbarian II by Psygnosis od Palace?

I've already sent a dump of The Big 100 to Denis, but it's not in the SPS database!

Regarding 'Morton_Strikes_Back-AGA', yes the game is likely copied via an Amiga. The scans I provided to Hall of Light I think showcase this to be likely the case.

Either way I dumped it anyway, still enough of a verification to show that it was duplicated this way.

R3 is another title that is basically just a printed label on disks and duplicated using an Amiga. Possibly the case with I guess most if not all shareware and late commercial titles (1995/1996 onwards).

As the Amiga market was becoming niche (Vulcan titles are duplicated this way). A lot of the mid-late 90s titles released would be the same if not similar result too due to budget reasons, also not knowing how well it would sell or be distributed.

I am uploading all of the SPS CT-RAW images I made from a long time ago until more recently. Just so they can be verified.

I am unsure if IPFs were able to be generated off some of these (Denis has at least confirmed is the case with some of them already are unmodified e.g. 'Leonardo budget' and 'Medieval Warriors'). As I am unsure if they were modified, verified, etc or not. As I originally provided some of these over 8 years ago.

Best to check each of them again, just to be certain they haven't been missed.

Providing as is.

The ones I dumped using the CAPS Transfer method on the Amiga have a corresponding .txt file with further information on the type of release, etc.

Also to find out which ones may need a re-dump.

Regarding 'The Big 100' I think I originally provided this to SPS back in 2010 sometime.

At least there is multiple available to check. Worth imaging disks just to confirm.

Sadly I don't know what exactly I've dumped through years because SPS members are pruning ftp from older stuff, also stuff that I've sold (many loose disks bought just for preservation).

Post http://eab.abime.net/showpost.php?p=...&postcount=150 lists only small part of stuff what I've dumped.

@dlfrsilver, are older dumps accessible by You? Maybe I could at least get list what I've dump and when.

I think the whole idea of "preservation" is a bit sick if there is still a danger that the whole preserved collection can be lost anyway. I may understand it wrong, but if everything is stored in one space (which means someone MUST be involved in its maintenance / keeping the HW alive / paying for hosting / whatever) it is pretty vulnerable.

SPS collection won't be. Majority of IPF archive is already in the hands of community.
Of course there is still plenty of raw dumps on SPS ftp but that's different matter.

Still there are some MIA games - http://eab.abime.net/showthread.php?t=94227
Maybe You could help since (as far I remember) You are amiga games collector.

Personally I don't like this method of work but I joined project (by means I dumped many games) so I automatically I accepted rules just like all people that dumped games as well.

I'm not sure about the ruling in the forum, but following on from the above comment by haynor666, many of the IPFs have been populated and released by another group. However, they are actively looking to complete the list of missing IPFs, either by people dumping and sharing or releasing their own IPFs that were submitted to SPS.

I'm very interested by this thread.

Around 2004 (or 2005 ?) it was still CAPS I think, I also shipped in UK many original french and english games like Maupiti Island, Starblade, Sword of Honour, Metal Mutant, Sky or Die, SWIV, Hired Guns, Mickey Mouse, Budokan, etc. and never got any real feedback except that the package was well received.
I didn't want to purchase a specific hardware to rip everything myself, I didn't have time and money and I had only a few originals games on Amiga, it was not worth the expense. I was believing that fans would do the job pretty well and the only thing I could do was providing my own originals.

I didn't receive any game back, while I shipped the boxes, manuals, disks, etc. for preservation.
It has been a while now and I can't find anymore who I was in touch with, I changed my email address, moved to an other place, etc.
So it's not the point to blame anyone.

I was first enthousiastic because I saw that Starblade was added in the list at some point (one year after I shipped ?), even though I never received the corresponding ipf file...
But many of the other games seems not to be in the official SPS list, sadly. So I was disappointed.

Especially, Sword of Honour and Metal Mutant which were badly cracked and can not be properly finished since on cracked version, you will encounter a crash or the protection system late in the game.

Does anyone knows the status of those games as ipf ?

Oh no, not another person that this has happened to i.e. gave their originals in good faith for preservation purposes to the SPS team and never had them returned

If you can remember, please send me a list of the originals that you sent and I'll try to help you get them back.

As for .IPF files; you will find all publically released thus far on the EAB File Server

No doubt there will be more as this is clearly how they operated.

Still I guess they are happy, they have copies of everyone's games, even if the original owners don't. Maybe that's why there's some still missing, they haven't been sent to the original owners.

Wonder how many more games are stored in Keiran's warehouse. Guess you'd call them stolen good by now.
