Amiga spotted at Rare's offices!

Not sure if this is the right subforum, but feel free to move it.

If you check out the latest Eurogamer TV Show, they have an exclusive look into Rare's offices. During an interview with one of the developers of Viva Pinata, you can see an Amiga keyboard, probably the A4000 keyboard, set up in the background. It's connected, not just lying there. Question is, why? What is Rare using it for? Have they used an Amiga to develop certain stuff in Viva Pinata, or even in many of Rare's games?

EDIT: Sorry, it was an Amiga 500. I didn't see the back half of the Amiga 500, so it looked like a keyboard. Also noticed there was a standard tv to the right where Viva Pinata is running in the background during the interview. I'm guessing it's a source of inspiration, or more realistically, they play Amiga games during lunchtime and other breaks.

Still cool as hell, no?

Any idea who the interview was with? Had a chat with John Pegg from Rare a while back and hes a bit of an Amiga fanboy.

RARE is cool

Evene though it's not Amiga related... I was blown away the first time I saw Donkey Kong Country on the SNES. That really pushed the console to it's limits

Just a pity that Ultimate/Rare didn't actually do anything on the Amiga.

Indeed, some conversions of their 8bit output at the least would have been amusing (particularly Sabre Wulf)

Yes, RARE, ex. Ultimate Play the Game have rocked since the inception of the micro. Cracking games on every platform they've touched, plus arcade.

Damn! I missed my 1000th post anniversary completely... nothing to console me but a tepid magnum bottle of champagne. I drink it all with tears in my eyes from a feeling of nostalgia, from 18 posts past. Or is it from a feeling of the champagne's sour taste and overcarbonizedness?

You aren't missing anything, they have gone to pot since "leaving" Nintendo.

Too much meddling by MS if you ask me.

Be nice if there old games (Under the Ultimate label) got shined up and released in a compilation CD like Activision do now and again.

Would love to play some of the old classics given a new lease of life.

But then there's so many other labels I'd love to see it on (Orin, Ocean, Psygnosis, etc.) it's untrue.
