compact flash compatibility
i purchased a cf to ide from ebay
it did come with a sandisk 4gb card but thats not big enough for me. the seller said that only sandisk cf cards will work sandisk cards, particularly large capacity are really expensive. how come things like transcend ones wont work? theyre much cheaper and transcend is a good make. i dont want to name and shame particularly but the guy seems adamant about sandisk and claims he was the first to bring cf to ide to the market etc etc |

Get SD to IDE next time... Saves a lot of headaches.

Many CF card brands will work on the internal A1200 connector, including Transcend. If using cards bigger than 8GB, you should use kickstart 3.1.4 at least because 3.1 will fail to boot from 16+GB cards due to size limit issues. It could be made to work though but it involves a bit of partitioning trickery.
