Component Sourcing

Hello there forum chummies,

I am here humbly asking for help in locating a good source / site / place to order from for

Analog devices
IC's
Micro-Controllers

I have tried my local sources and if its not shrugged shoulders it a request-a-quote scenario... this doesn`t work for the netizen in me... so I figure the internet has LOADS of source... not that I have found of late...

maplins is a complete bust, as is most other sites only offering tracking-services or order through us (as we rob you and the guy we get them off) sites...

I am tired of having to make a little order only to be confronted with *SMACK* minium order of £50 or 75 euro, it sucketh the big one...

I dont mind going abroad for my components, I just tire of the labourious and ardious nature of sourcing them.

so does anyone have any sites / or help for me ?

I would be sincerely greatfull

I've ordered bits & pieces for work previously from RS Components although you may need an account.

I think they may have trade counters also.

Hmmm, most odd web site. The pages don't seem to be directly linkable. Shame, as you say it's a bit of a b*gger to navigate.
I suspect as I'm not too familiar with what your after it may be wasted time, but they had loads of relevant-looking stuff & links to suppliers...
FWIW: Try google, type in: Analog devices IC's Micro-Controllers, 2/3 way down click: Product Store - Electrical Components, & have a look round from there.

You might try Newark. I don't know if they ship to the UK, but they do have several international sites. My local shop orders stuff from them, and it's where my Analog Devices chip was sourced (though I did not order directly).

Another useful site is FindChips. It's a search engine that searches several suppliers' websites for parts. I believe most of the suppliers are in the US, but it's worth checking to get an idea of what a part should cost.

Hi, Electrocom in Sale have closed down. You can now purchase products from a company called Harty Electronics. I used to work for Electrocom until i was made redundant last year. Harty Electronics supply a full range of ics, resistors, capacitors etc.. and just have a small minimum order value. If you need any prices on memory etc.. contact Darren:- darren@harty.com or 0161 205 7673 8.30am to 5.30pm Monday to Friday

@ZetrO

We don't have an online catalogue but we supply most i.cs. Email me your enquiry and if we don't have stock in the Uk we can check it out with our Harty Asia office. We have 2 deliveries in per week from there. You can email me anytime to darren@harty.com and i will quote on anything that we can supply. If there is anything that we cannot supply i will try and put you in touch with someone who can.
