Oi moderation team!!!

why are you continuing to allow some retard to add 'i don't care about ian' to threads i have posted in? If that isn't a misuse of tags nothing is. All this because some twat couldn't argue his case and spat his dummy out. as an adult returning the favour does not appeal.

Wow, what a sad way to treat an old timer like Ian.
I believe he deserves better.

how is this any different?

protocol would be to discuss this with the moderation team here. you know this, posting this thread demeans you and I believe you are much better than that.

don't stoop to his/her level.

As I see it here, the moderation team is not doing much to help him.
This very thread has offensive tags. This should be considered abuse and goes against the EAB rules. Why is no one doing anything???

Can anyone stop this shit? I know it is possible.

Maybe editing the thread title aswell? For me the 'adult' way would be to report posts in those threads pointing at the tags. If there is a way to find out who did it, warn the user and problem solved.

If someone would wish to report this through the official channels like everyone else then one of us will look at it but forgive me if I'm not too bothered trying to help when someone begins his thread with 'oi pricks'.

Indeed Zetr0, what a wasted opportunity to try to do something about some mod dumb & long-lasting privilege abuse (only a mod can add "hardcoded tags" AFAIK). If a "normal" thread or public discussion starts on this topic, you can count me in guys.

Guess that's just another misunderstanding on my side, but I don't get 'harcoded' and 'mod dumb' in the context. Also I can't see how Zetr0 mentioned any of that.

Hardcoded means such tags can't be edited by you and me, only by a mod or a GM (some members may have been granted that privilege but that's basically the idea). Well, click on Edit Tags in that very thread, you'll get the idea.

In my sentence, dumb relates to abuse, and mod to privilege.
I think some of us (including Zetr0) would have liked to express our point of view about these in a "clean" thread. The way Ian created this thread seems like an invitation to take side with him and reply with insulting comments in place of sound reasoning.

Hope that makes more sense.

Exclamation Tag cloud is useless.

Hello dudes.

Let me explain, the tag system is only generated by EAB's member: Thread starter can post 5 tags, and any other members can post 2 tags.
Now have a look at the reality: this function was never correctly used and the current tag cloud sux (see screenshot).

I will disable the tag system, it will save our CPU for more important features and projects

i find it a bit rich that Kyon take's months of "tag abuse" and nothing happens, but after opening a thread entitled "oi pricks" the tag feature is removed for abuse.
