tfx.020 (1997) doesn't like fast ram. whdload fixes that. Have you tried with whdload?

I've tried the whdload - I tried with and without PRELOAD, and I selected the 1997 tfx.020 from the options - it starts the game and i can create pilot and choose game ie arcade, but then it gets to where it is loading actual campaign and then just quits to workbench (A1200, 8MB Hawk + FPU)

From Tornado:
Try AGA version with CHIPCACHE, this may improve speed a lot. Can this help for TFX? |

CHIPCACHE is an idea. Why not.
But main issue is that game is complex. It's running from fastmem. The hunk I had to relocate in chip is a data hunk. @Scott does it quit without any error? |

Another thing to note is that the screen flicks occasionally (along with the music) as it is loading |

well the register dump indicates a crash... so does it crash or just quit? do you have a CD32 joypad connected?
the flicker is probably there because 8MB is just not enough to entirely preload that game. You need (approx) 12MB to full preload. |

Hi, it flickers with and without preload - i'll get the error message for you (It just appears to quit rather than crash), i have a CD32 joypad connected (It's the Playstation adapter one)

PRELOAD will do its best, but if you don't have enough memory, well, it will load most of the files and flash to get the others.
The error message was already in the log, thanks. It's just that "it quits without message" wasn't coherent with a crash dump |
