Running an MUI app on its own screen.

How do I make a particular MUI app run on its own screen? I managed this years ago but can't remember how I accomplished it.

MUI comes with a program called PSE that is a Public Screen Editor. Use it to set up your screenmode and then use the PUBSCREEN tooltype or CLI parameter to pass in the name of the public screen you just created.

If the program in question gives you access to the MUI prefs utility (i.e., if there's a menu option for "MUI Settings" or such) you can select the screen the program should open on using a dropdown menu (it's in the Screen section of the prefs). But the screen needs to exist in the database first. Use the PSI tool from Workbench or press the "Call Inspector" button from MUI prefs to define a screen.

Every MUI program can access its settings if you enable the Popup Menu gadget from Windows -> Control -> Gadgets in the global MUI preferences. It adds a small popup menu gadget in the window border and there's "Settings..." option which can be used if a program doesn't offer a menu item for this.

I don't know why on earth this isn't enabled by default, because I can't live without it It's an easy way to snapshot window positions/sizes and set them to their own screens etc.
