Coloured border around 8-bit screens on Voodoo on CGX

I have this weird problem that all 8-bit screens, no matter what resolution, have a border around them that isn't black, like normal screens, but coloured.

I have a Voodoo3 and use CGX on Grex 4000D. Is there some setting that could cause this?

How can you set the border in cgxmode then? I can only see the main resolution.
