Use Microvitec Cub 1431 for Amiga?

Hi there so I got my hands on one of these this morning and its picture quality is amazing! I thaught I really would like to use my Amigas on it so I found out you have to chage the jumpers inside the monitor and after hooking up R G B composite sync and Ground i get a picture but its not right, on the Early startup screen the whites and reds are really dull, in fact the mouse pointer proper faded! i double checked my conections and they are fine as a test I hooked up my ZX Harlequin spectrum clone and that displays well but there is no white! I have asked over at stardot forums and been told even though i have switched it to RGB mode it needs TTL levels and I need to remove the resistors out of my video cables? well I dont want to do that as I use these systems on other displays with these cables I was hoping you guys have some experince or could shed some light on the situation?
