A1000 Kickstart adapters
Hi,
I recently picked up a functional A1000. As with all my machines, I'm going to engage in some quality-of-life enhancing upgrades. I prefer them to be discrete, so with that in mind I've already ordered an IDE68K + GottaGo FastRAM 8MB. One thing that I know is going to get on my nerves quickly is the need to use a floppy to load into WOM. Does anyone have any recommendations (for something that is still available to purchase!) please? I know an ACA500 would solve my problem, but I'm trying to avoid sidecar-type expansions. I'm also a PiStorm user elsewhere but wish to try and avoid that here, as I'm going for something closer to period-authentic. Thanks! |

Rejuventors are being remade here and there. Also there is the Parcerio 2.

Your best chance is getting a Rejuvenator. I have one with 2Mb chipmem (using an Agnus 8275) and Kickstart 1.3. I got mine on Amibay. Not cheap but the best upgrade for an A1000 in my humble opinion.
Next, like Dale423 already mentioned, is the Parceiro 2. This is made in the US and you need to have some patience. The creator of the Parceiro is busy with other project and it can take a while before it's finished. I order mine over a month ago and I'm patiently waiting. |

The circuitry for a ROM switcher is quite simple, so if you have something in mind about how you'd like it to look, you could probably make your own for just he cost of a few PCBs from PCBWay, etc. |

Here's the link: https://www.amigalove.com/viewtopic.php?t=540 I can confirm this works well, I am using it with my TF536 on the A1000. |

I used to have a Rejuvinator in my a1000 back in 1989 and loved it.
