Floppy troubles

Hi there,

I have and A1200 running OS3.9.

I am having real trouble copying floppy disks, or writing ADF images to floppy.

I always get a message saying "Please reinsert volume xxx" even if the disk is still in the drive.

Because of this, none of my copied disks or ADF transfer disks are reradable.

I replaced the original floppy drive for another, because I thought it might be that, but it wasn't, still the same.

I have an old Amiga for spares, if there anything I could salvage from this?

Regards,

Petemaxi.

It may be a ribbon, I don't think 2 drives are damaged.

Hi,

Thanks for your swift reply.

I have already replaced the drive cable, I had the same idea as you, but then I found out it did the same on the external floppy. I have a couple spare external floppies and they were both the same, too.

Thanks,

Petemaxi.
