www.amigakit.com ....Great service

I recently purchased a PCMCIA to compact flash adaptor from here so that i could chuck my entire work of Amiga music on my real Amiga over to PC for preservation.Iv'e still got loads of work to do on the music as half of it is wip but this device has taken a load off my shoulders as far as backing it up at least.

Extremely quick posting of item and very well packaged.Easy to use even if you don't have a hd and you can also write lha and adf from a pc back onto real floppies.

Anyway big thumbs up for whoever it is that runs the site.

It's long been known that you cannot make a living from an Amiga only shop. I wonder how many hours a week he devotes to it, and what his REAL job is.

He must have a non-Amiga webshop as well. There is no way he can make enough to live on with Amiga only sales?

perhaps he has other incomes too, and does that to spent his time ? I know 2-3 ppl here that do it... 2 have a bar/cafe and another a computer shop... none really care if they make a profit

I think us EAB'ers should get a discount from Amigakit, for all the advertising EAB does for them. At first i didn't like Amigakit because of the high prices but they are as competative as anyone else on the net having seen many happy customers on Eab i have changed my opinion on Amigakit and will have no problem purchasing anything from them should i need it.

Yup Sarek2k AmigaKit is part of a dwindling resource for us Amiga users.

Lets just hope that they dont one day forget to state that Amiga is TradeMark Amiga Inc

Wouldnt want some jobsworth to get the site deleted!!!

A big thumbs up for Amigakit.
In my opinion prices are reasonable, and the level of service is the best I have received from any web shop.
He gets your stuff out the door double-quick and everything is packaged in copious amounts of bubblewrap. What a diamond.

Amiga cannot be a universal Trademark as it is a real word. It is Spanish for (girl?)friend and in another country (Russia?) I think it means bootleg.

I wonder how well one would do operating from Australia ?.. The question is, where would i get the parts ?

Actually when it comes to my questions about Amiga hardware, primarily joysticks of late, he has been almost instantaneous in his responses!.. So yes, the service is AAA+++

A full time job selling Amiga, it would be a passion of mine to do so, but i dont have the time nor the resources.

But im sure if i put my heart and soul into it, i could do the same.. Hmmmm i dont think Amigakit would like hearing what im saying.. hehe..

AmigaKit is the only place I go now other than eBay for good Amiga stuff. It's an awesome website.

Amigakit are good but since the buy-out (basically) of eyetech those manuals and guides from the eyetech webiste are gone. Like the IDE buffer tutorial.

Maybe Amigakit could host them? I found the IDE buffer one extremely handy when starting off..
