PCx Emulator
Hello,
I'm looking for the dos emulator PCX, I've read in another thread there was a cracked 2.1 version in the zone (CRX-PX21.LHA). Can someone upload it again ? Is there a way to buy it ? If not someone can upload a regged one ? Thank you! |

PCx is available as a demo on Aminet, and there appears to be a crack for it on the FTP, if I'm not much mistaken?
But it's crap anyway. PC Task is a far better x86 emulator. |

both pctask and pcx are crap but pcx is a bit better
yet pcx can run chess programs like fritz 1 and 2 and other strong chess programs which are far better than the Amiga ones |

i try again with some games.
with F1GP by Microprose, PCx is faster than PC-Task, while with Indy4 both seems have the same performance. Of course is better PC-Task because now is freeware and you can download it from Aminet. Last edited by Seiya; 26 May 2018 at 13:52. |

You could get a legal copy.
Try to find the Amiga Format CoverCd No 50. It came with the issue 134. |

As I recall PCx had at least a very primitive bad sounding mono Soundblaster emulation which might be considered better than the nothing for sound in PC-Task. PC-Task seemed faster to me though otherwise. SoftWindows or RealPC (I can't remember which one I settled on) in Shapeshifter seemed better than both.
