CD32, Commodore logo differences

Only noticed today, that some CD32 cases have an etched Commodore logo at the top right, whilst others have white printing.

Is there a story to this? Cost cutting, country of origin, timelines?

Ones we see with the commodore logo printed tend to be rev 4 boards or european units which some have native RGB out but can't remember i think its the french version??

They are real, you can see one in this video:

11:18 in. I think they are the last revision, they also have a ridge on the back of the CD-ROM drive for stronger hinges.

My very real CD32 has the white printed “Commodore” logo. It is a PAL machine.

Ok, so they are real , never seen this before.

Have they a specific spellbound number on the motherboard, or is just a plasturgy change ? (logo & ridge for CD)
