How to debug DOS packets?
I would like to see what DOS packets are sent to a certain handler and what is returned. The contents of the packages is also interesting.
How would I do that? Is there a general way to do this in WinUAE? regards selco |

Not sure if this is what you are looking for, but SnoopDOS has the option to monitor packets.

Ideally I would like to see the contents of the packets, too.
If it were possible in WinUAE to go into debugger when a packet arrives at a certain process. Snoopdos seems to work only with filesystem devices? And I can't inspect the contents of a packet, can I? |

I don't think there is any generic way to detect if Message is actually pointing to dospacket. Some programs may even send dos packets using exec/PutMsg() directly. (instead of using dos/SendPkt()/WaitPkt()/DoPkt())
I guess only possibly solution is to watch for specificed process(es) pr_MsgPort writes and check if new Message arrived or something like that.. |
