Eek Ipf file of Cruise for a corpse (Italian)... help

Hi guys,
I bought this great game more than 25 years ago in the Italian version.
I opened after all this time the box to run the game on my Amiga and it still works.
Then I tried to make a copy by Kryoflux (stream file, preservation mode) but disk 1 shows a bad sector error impossible to repair at the track no. 1.0.
And now??? Who can help me?
Is there anybody on this forum that has an ipf of the first disk of the Italian version??? Or also a copy of stream files of the first disk.
Fortunately the bad sector error is only on the first disk.
I think that it is not a game protection but rather a damage of the track.
I hope that some good soul can help me.
Thank you.

there is no physical protection. You can try to copy the files and see which one doesn't work.

maybe you can create new floppies or just use the whdload version I just zoned.

Hi, thank you for your reply.
I just tried to copy the game to ram and the corrupted file is the one named "d1" ...and is the biggest one
I think that extracting it from whdload version would not solve my issue, at least if the latter is based on a foreign language version. I looked for ipf versions online but there all the languages available except the Italian one!

Replacing it from a foreign version would be risky because it could contain the texts in Italian of the game.

Is there some Italian collector on the forum or some foreign user that collected also the Italian version of this game?

I would only need of a file at this point... please help me

You will also need to replace the internal magnetic disk, because fixing the flux of a bad track is very complicated.

IPF isn't very interesting for this game: it has no physical protection.

Is there a more comprehensive set of IPF files than the "classic" one I downloaded ages ago? Mine has 3158 files and weights around 4GB.

I wish to thank you all for all the precious tips.
I just recovered the file from DamienD's adf link.
I what thinking how we are loosing all this treasure due to demagnetization... is there a way to stop it? Or at least to slow it... In my case Cruise for a corpse is a game that I played not a great number of times, and I remained surprised discovering this bad sector. I keep the boxes of my amiga games since the end of 90s in great conditions and order... no dust..no high temperatures or humidity conditions.
Anyway Thank you all very much!

Up-to-date Amiga No-Intro set incoming to my user upload folder.
It includes official as well as unofficial ipfs.
0XXX = SPS ID, official
xXXX = unofficial

BIOS images (xBXX) not included for obvious reasons.

If it is just demagnetisation, and not physical damage, then a trick is to use a strong neodymium magnet to wipe it and then write the original IPF image back on to it.

Thank you solarmon, a very great tip!

For the rest, I wish to inform you all that the adf version linked by DamienD probably has some problem.
I have written that image on several new floppies and the game works fine, but when I try to read stream files through Kryoflux, then result several bad sectors errors on the first tracks.
I tried with several floppies and different drives, because I thought that was a problem of the floppy every time, but now I am quite sure that is inside the image the issue. The files are not corrupted, I tried moving manually them inside WB. The original floppy from which has been read and made the adf probably had some bad tracks... do you agree? The strange thing is that this problem results only If I try to capture the content via Kryoflux. If I try to make a simple copy by xcopy does not result any error during the copy... very very strange.

Anyway @dlfrsilver, do you have also the stream files of that disk?

Thank you for all the patience and help.

This game has a *notoriously bad* Italian translation. If someone could somehow extract and then repackage the language files, I would gladly correct the translation of the whole game.

OK, the re-translation of Cruise for a Corpse in Italian is w.i.p. guys!
It is proceeding quite well but we need some help: it seems that some accented letters (ì and ò) are absent in the game font and we would like to open the .FNT file to verify, but the format seems to be proprietary to Delphine.

Is there anyone who could help us? Thank you so much!

UPDATE: the cracked Italian versions are not actually really Italian, but it is the English cracked version which has been replaced with some language files.
The result, however, is that some parts of the game are still in English (system messages, inventory etc.) and above all the texts are not displayed correctly due to some accented letters (widely used in Italian) missing in the English font.

This "altered" and incomplete version is also used in WHDLoad, moreover with disk 4 probably damaged.

We are working on a proper Italian release, with all the elements in their place, revised and corrected translation, and crack.
