What's the name of this song?
As I mentioned in another thread, I recognize this song from something else than a cracktro (I think ). Does anyone else know if this song is remixed from something else, and if so, what song? I get some SID-feelings here but I am not sure..
Thanks alot in advance. http://janeway.exotica.org.uk/release.php?id=8856 |

Anyway, what surprise me, is the name of the music format, Letterplayer
http://janeway.exotica.org.uk/release.php?id=33828 Is this format real ? I don't find it on modland for example and all the links of these modules are actually Delitracker Custom |

I've never heard of "Letterplayer" either. Is it perhaps hand-coded in some way back in the days?

It came on the cover of a Uk Amiga magazine in a coding article. There was an example intro with copper bars and a spinning wireframe floppy disk. I literally based all my early coding on that intro. If I remember the music was indeed coded directly in the source. I’ve seen a link to the source before but it will be on one of my backup disks if you want it.

Looks like it was Amiga Computing in 1989. I don't have the original I seem to have a copy that my friend got. Then he did the usual early lamer stuff of changing the credits in the source to himself (ahhhh...memories). But I had another file that he'd not changed the credits so I've changed it back. Looks like Marcus Lynn?
https://www.autoitscript.com/files/a...earlyintro.zip Music routine is at label sound1: Looks like this: http://janeway.exotica.org.uk/release.php?id=19471 But that's dated as 1987 so who knows! I used the copper bar and 3d routines from this as a starting point for ages. I even allocated memory and didn't kill the system because that's how this one did it. That changed though Edit: Actually this is funny. The additive copper bars in my Sax Offender intro are literally the "final form" version of these early copper bars. Talk about being influenced by early stuff Last edited by Antiriad_UK; 10 March 2020 at 09:21. |
