Successfully tested Strife 1.2 RTG
A sore point that the AMiGA version cannot be started in the window, the parameter is ignored. [ Show youtube player ] Last edited by AMIGASYSTEM; 07 February 2019 at 17:41. |

This port performs amazingly well on AGA. I'm running it super smooth on my 1260/66. Props to lantus360, Great work!
I do run into some issues though. I've downloaded the most recent v1.2. When running it on RTG it performs very slowly (probably about half the fps of the AGA version). I'm running my CV64/3D in FastZII mode, which in the benchmarks I've run performs quite a bit faster then AGA on all tests. Could there be some tweaks to improve my performance? Also, I have to use -nosound for the game to launch. I've had no luck with doomsound.library in other wad-game ports either. "Fails to load doomsound.library" every time. I'm using 37.3 of the library (which I understand should work on WB 3.1.4), are there some requirements that might not be covered in the readme? I must be missing something. Lastly, is there a way to enable subtitles without disabling voice? |

I run this port on radeon with 4000 nearly three times faster on rtg from aga. Your card on zorro2 mode( not zorro3) and cv64/3d is a slow card.

It is indeed a slow card, but it should still perform significantly better then AGA. It is not running in ZorroII mode, but fastZII, roughly twice as fast as ZorroII.

Well, as stated it runs very well in AGA. The RTG performance iks therefore not really a big deal, but if there are things I can do I would like to know them.
The big thing is really doomsound.library not working and not being able to get subtitles without voices. Doomsound fails with all games that try to use it here but after having read the docs I really can't understand what it might be so I'm hoping someone with a similar setup might have had a similar problem. The version I'm trying is supposed to work well in WB 3.1.4. |

I am not the author of the 1.2 version with RTG on Aminet.
I added RTG mode for the Vampire team that I never got around to releasing almost 2 years ago now. I just added it to the zone if you wanted to try that version and see if its any better in RTG. launch it with strife.exe -cgx also -novoice will start the game without speech and will enable subtitles in the game let me know if performance is any better with RTG thanks! http://eab.abime.net/zone/strife-rtg.lha Last edited by lantus360; 30 May 2019 at 18:11. |
