I really enjoyed the book (although I only backed the PDF-version). Some preview images of the pages about Thalion content can be found in the news section of my website.

Why is it named "Commpendium" when it's actually a compendium (with one "m")? Is it a spelling error nobody noticed (that should be unlikely) or should "Commpendium" reflect a reference to something like "Communication" (I think that's unlikely, too)?

Excellent feedback all. Thanks! I'm not the author, just "consultant" which is essentially Sam's very kind way of crediting me.

I know I'm always going to be biased but when Sam first showed me a printed copy it blew me away. The C64 book on steroids. (if you haven't got the C64 book, get it ). So much colour, content and hard work. It isn't just a matter of grabbing screens and chucking them in the book. Trust me that when you see it in the flesh/print it's so much more.

Hope you all receive yours soon if you haven't.

Mine turned up yesterday from funstock and I'm really impressed with it! I'm a graphic designer by trade and I can honestly say this is a work of art - really well put together! After having a brief read through it prompted me to fire up some amiga games I forgot about. My fear about some games possibly not being included in the book we're also unfounded as the games I wanted are all there.

My preorder came with the demo cards but also the slip case too which I wasn't expecting (so a nice bonus)? One small gripe is the stitches appear to be loose on one page but it's nothing major and should be OK?

Any way if you haven't got this book yet then I'd advise you to pick it up.

Thanks for the feedback Baboon. High praise! I assume you've looked inside the slip cover as well?

I don't dare take mine out the wrapper! - AMIGA magic waits inside!!
All the extra stuff is so good. A real good value Kickstarter.
And a quality piece of art/work.
Many thanks for the effort/stress etc everyone involved put in.

I finally got my book, but only the book - all the goodies are missing I already contacted Sam and he promised to send me those. Anyway, the book is fantastic.

Yeah Great book.

Personal unexpected Highlights:

-The CD is excellent with fantastic cover art.
-The book mark is really nice quality

I was expecting the rest to be top quality based on the previous reviews and it didn't disappoint..

I'm surprised his next one is about the Speccy? He's done C64 then Amiga so to step back and to the Sinclair seems strange? I'd have thought Arcade games of the 20th Century or the PS1 would have been a natural progression.
