amikit live update problem

I wanted to update to 8.2. after reboot it wants to install the updates.My Amiga now on for 3 hours and i see the hdd led blink but thats all.Sorry for my English

(pfs3) 250gb hdd 040 @ 44.4 32mb a1200

It can take a long time to update from 8.1 (8.2 is large) on a real amiga, really long long time. Also the update 8.5 is huge, much more than 8.2.

The fast way to install it is always on WinUAE if you can. Remember that for this last update you need a large HD, so I'm using a 950MB or more one. It needs 180Mb free from 8.4.

Ask if you have any doubt about how to make it on WinUAE.
If you have enough room in the HD and you don't mind to wait, you can also make that. As long as the HD blinks, everything is ok.

If you don't have enough room for 8.5 the installer will detect that and it will install only till 8.4

Thanks how can i use internet in winuae BTW i'm on linux but it works ;-)

In Expansions, Network, select bsdsocket.library

BTW you should try it on WinUAE, you'll have much more things that on a Real miggy without RTG. IF you add on WinUAE on expansions as RTG Graphic Card a Picasso IV Zorro III and you've got the Picasso rom, then you can try (since AKReal 8.4) in Tools a program inside "Better Config" that will let you run some RTG setups (more with AKReal 8.5).
