CD drive from NTSC CD32 to PAL CD32?

Hi! Is the CD drive in an NTSC CD32 compatible with the one in a PAL CD32? I have a PAL CD32 with a broken CD drive and an NTSC version with a working one so I was thinking of grabbing the CD drive from the NTSC CD32.

So before I try this, does anybody know if the drives are compatible?

I imagine that they would be the exact same drive for cost reasons and should work.

It's probably the same drive, just wanted to see if somebody knew for sure. There's no guarantee they are the same though, the cases for the PAL and NTSC versions differ slightly, I can't see any reason for that either.

They are exactly the same. However there are two varients of the CD, one has blue shock absorbers and other has red.

I would not trust the color of a rubber circle to determine what kind of drive assembly you have. I am sure the model numbers in the assembly would do a much better job at identifying.
Especially when we know Commodore liked to mix and match components depending on their availability (like A500 power LEDs)
