Question Uae + Tcp/ip

Hi!

I have long time been trying to make my UAE (on Ubuntu) to work with TCP/IP, so I can run Intenet applications like AWeb and more complicated things.

I have tried to put "bsdsocket_emu=true" (or "yes") in the configuration file, but nothing changes. I have tried install AmiTCP. I have tried to upgrade to AmigaOS 3.9 (I prefere 3.0 or 3.1) and to get it work with Genesis. I also tried to compile my own UAE instead of using the one from Ubuntus deb-package.

But no TCP/IP-stack is running and AWeb cannot go out on Internet.

Someone having any idea, please?

Thanks for your answer. No, there is no such file in the system and I know nothing about it. I suppose it is a device needing for making contact with the TCP/ip-stack "outside" the emulator? In that case: where can I found one for linux? To google does not seems to give mush...

have you put bsdsocket.library into LIBS: on Amiga side?

What version of UAE are you using? I just compiled my own version and it looks like the latest builds have bsdsocket built in.. but you still need the library on Amiga side (I have yet to test it though - I have not got Amiga hard disk file into linux yet )

Yes. I don't remember where I found that bsdsocket.library, it wasn't with the UAE. I think I downloaded it from AmiNet in some package.

I'm now running version 0.8.29 (compiled by my own), after trying the ubuntu package version with no success. Beside the tcp-problem everything seems to works just perfect.

It seems to be quite unrare that people try or need amitcp running in UAE. :-(
