Could not find fs-uae executable.

Hi i'm new but my only problem is that i have my kickstart rom and adf file but it still says "could not find fs-uae executable" and i was wondering how to fix this error. Could someone please tell me how to fix this?

Could you describe what you do when the error message appears a bit more detailed?

Might it help if you try running the launcher instead of the main emulator executable? Search for fs-uae-launcher.exe and give that a go.

That is probably only if you assume Windows as the operating system, on Linux (and maybe MacOS) it is just named "fs-uae-launcher".

Anyway, if it is installed from the official packages (and not some third party repository) following the instructions:

you should find fs-uae-launcher(.exe) inside your "Documents/FS-UAE/System/FS-UAE-Launcher/Windows/x86-64" and fs-uae(.exe) inside the "Documents/FS-UAE/System/FS-UAE/Windows/x86-64" directory. Just replace "Windows" with your operating system and "Documents" may vary according to your operating systems Language.

So, yes, a bit more detailed information would be nice.

I had the same problem that fs-uae executable could not be found and it was because the "make install" installed fs-uae to /usr/local/bin instead of /usr/bin where fs-uae-launcher looks for it. Moving the file (as root) solved this problem.

I think if the OP has not responded to any suggestions / questions after nearly two months, then there is a likelihood that they only joined on a whim. Shame really, as many members here take time to try to help newcomers.
