As I understand it there's a fair bit of work that goes into making a WHDload of a game, i've never made one myself so I wouldn't know the amount of effort but I'm pretty sure it would be more than the effort that it took to actually make that game. Is it worth a WHDLoad? No, Is it worth preserving... NO! I'd have preferred it if they had made it on the Atari ST. |

‘Get to level 23, do it now!’ and ‘BOOM, have fun!’
surely these box quotes alone make it worth buying? |

It's quite possibly the worst game I have ever seen on any platform.
And I include Cassette 50 and Auf Wiedesen Pet in that bag too. |

Just finished reading about "RetroPC1010" on his page. What a trip.
Centron 3D itself looks quite fabulously crazy, no matter if it's an intentional parody or serious attempt. Reading about him and his stuff it's probably the latter. The fact it's being actually sold is a bit of a downer, though on the other hand it adds an extra layer of silliness to the whole affair. But I guess it also means there won't be a WHD anyway, right? Or any other form available. |

CD32 version of Zool 2 doesn't have the slow down of the A1200 one according to old reviews, and some extra level. It could be a candidate to WHDLoad.

Zool 2 CD32 whdload is sitting on my hard drive for a while now (may...). Time for a release I guess.
But first there are some small details to fix. Last edited by jotd; 31 October 2020 at 08:54. |

While I'm posting, I'll put in a request for a game that Angus probably would like patched....Tornado AGA. Again, I should be able to supply the original if you're interested in producing a patch (and I can find it!). Incidentally, you've already patched the ECS/OCS version. I think WHDLoad is good for NDOS games that force you to play with floppy disk. But if you have A1200 and you have AGA games that has installer script or easily can be copy on HD it should be better solution because you have the requirement to install them.
WHDLoad games + Harddisk games + JST games is the best solution for everything. |
