[SOLVED] blizkick
Problems with Blizkick: once I load the ROM in the maprom area the 'Boot without Startup' option on reboot stops working. This happens even with a simple C:Blizkick * (= remap current ROM, no extra modules)... Tested through WUAE 1.5.x and still happens If I remove Blizkick from my SSequence everything works as expected... so remapped ROM function seems the source of this bug.

Works perfectly here with WinUAE 2.5.1 and BlizKick 1.24.

Very strange. All I do in my test SSeq is "BKick *" and after the reboot I can reproduce the bug with Early startup menu and Boot without SSeq option not working as expected...
Have you tested it with my cfg file? Maybe it's a WUAE option specific bug... My kick 3.1 file is ok and comes from an original TOSEC collection... EDIT: mmh... have to investigate: I've been able to run just Bkick and quit SSeq without the bug after a complete WUAE restart! C:Blizkick * Quit At this point the Boot without SSeq option menu still works! It looks like there is something else in the sseq I load that alters the ROM permanently (????).... Shouldn't maprom area be write protected? Last edited by hexaae; 21 March 2013 at 15:53. |

Never mind, it wasn't an emulator bug!
Found the problem: the utility http://aminet.net/package/util/boot/AlertPatch1_1 once removed from my WBStartup all went right after further reboots! Sorry Toni, false alarm! Still strange it could have a so deep impact on the system permanently.... |
