@Doogster

Chuck that Eprom I programmed for you onto the HC+8 to give you the latest gvpscsi.device driver..

Looks nice mate you cant beat a GVP against an A2091 can you.

BTW would you have any spare 30pin 2MB SIMMS for my HD+8 (A500)
I've been searching everywhere for 4 of them

Best Regards
TC

I'll fit that rom tomorrow...forgot all about that!

@Doog

Cheers for the offer my friend but if they are for the HC+8 then they will be 1MB sticks.

I'm looking for 2MB sticks x4 for the HD+8 Sidecar unit for my A500, It only has 4 Simm slots allowing either 4MB with 1MB sticks or 8MB with 2MB sticks.
If you had the 4x2MB sticks I'd be quite happy to swap them with the 4x1MB sticks I have to fill the remaining slots on your HC+8

BTW If the old ROM in your HC+8 is an EPROM & not a PROM feel free to send it for me to reprogramme for you so you can use it with your HD+8

Thanks again
TC

@TC

when you burn the 4.15 do you need to byte swap the rom image before burning or as is??

Sorry Bas, they are just 1mb simms, the card does have an eprom i believe...will have to check that tomorrow.

I cant add no more memory onto mine as it has 4mb running alongside the A2630...so thats whole zorro memory address taken....besides...with 112mb on the DKB...i don't think i need it

@Z, the 2000 is my fav miggy after the 1200, tough enough to prop your car up and highly expandable....have fun with yours mate

@Zeets

She is awesome indeed my good friend, theres something about an A2000 esp with that DKB
I loaded up Bloodwych's latest CWB with OS3.9 on the weekend & it was great fun. Not even missing the 2MB chip, tbh but would be the final cherry on the cake.

Regarding the 4.15 firmware, I didn't byteswap the image, I downloaded & prepped it nearly a year ago now about the time you sent me that HD so my memory is a bit fuzzy. I've got the hex file ready to programme on my system in the office, If you like I can email it to you tomorrow.. just load & burn.

Best Wishes
TC

ooh didn't realise the bugger can take 4MB simms too, did yours only have 2 sockets then or 4, I know there were variants that had the infamous 64Pin 4MB sockets (2 off)
If that's the case must find some 4MB sticks to try

@Doog

As far as I am aware mate V4.15 was the last official version & in fairness it works with bloody everything, form Huge HD's to ZIP drives (bootable with RDB) & Zaz Drives.
I have heard some people call it V4.5, but when you do a version from the CLI it comes back as V4.15....

Send me the old Eprom if you like & I'll upgrade it for you.
