Correct IDE to SATA HD adapter for old 2.5" Amiga HD

I am endeavoring to image my old decrepit 2.5" Amiga HD and I have a female SATA to USB interface currently which I intend to connect to the HD and then my PC.

Will this adapter correctly convert the 2.5" HD to SATA?

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004E5J0NA

Thanks so much!

I had 2 similar products in the past. One version worked whereas other failed. This was not for Amiga specifically but for PC IDE HDD.

You're better off with USB to IDE adaptor as they work better in my experience.

I have the same one and it has worked well on my Amigas with small SATA SSDs.

Sometimes the companies producing these adapters will just do arbitrary changes to the firmware/ICs on the board without any distinctive markings, so even if an adapter looks similar, it might end up not working with your Amiga (they are mainly tested with PCs). You will just have to keep trying, in that case

lesta, did you have any in particular that worked well for you? Would something like this be suitable?

Thanks again!
That should hopefully work.

I have used 2 different ones that both worked (for PC IDE HDD but no reason why it shouldn't work with any IDE):

USB to SATA, USB 3.0 to SATA Adapter Converter, Computer IDE SATA Connector Adapter, Computer Hard Drive Disk SSD HDD, Card Reader, 5GB/s 3A Fast Charging, 20cm USB to SATA Cable. https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B09943X4...ing=UTF8&psc=1

Multibao SATA IDE to USB Adapter Cable for Hard Disk HDD, USB 2.0 to SATA/IDE Converter HDD Cable for 2.5''/3.5'' Hard Drive CD DVD RW Rom https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B08W43XV...EXFRYTX3NRT01Q
