Hello,
I made a video, showing my Amiga 600 with Furia accelerator card 68020 33MHZ and full 9.5MB RAM working in a single boot. OS 3.2, physical custom 3.2 ROM with card.resource v45 from OS 3.1.4. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1k5v...ew?usp=sharing Francisco Last edited by FranciscoJr; 21 September 2021 at 23:16. |

Hi all
Merry Christmas. I bring this topic back up because I have this same issue. I am using an Amiga 1200; Blizzard 1230 Mk IV 64MB + fpu; IndivisionMK2 AGA. After installing Amiga OS 3.2 with the new ROM 3.2 my pcmcia CF has stopped working. I even tried the latest Amiga OS 3.2.1 patch released very recently but it made no difference. I understand that the mitigation is to burn a new ROM with the old version of the patched file from Amiga OS 3.1.4 but I have no EPROM burner and I also inadvertently broke a PIN from my ROM 3.1.4 when replacing it. Is there no software way around this? I would really like to have my pcmcia CF back. Regards, George |

If you have memory in the Zorro-II autoconfig area that overlaps with the mapping address space of PCMCIA, then it cannot work, and it must not work. PCMCIA gets forcefully disabled in such a case, and this is the only way how to get a working system. To keep PCMCIA enabled in such a case was a known defect of 3.1.4. I already explained what exactly the problem is, but the short story is that there is no way how to get this working correctly.

If I were you, stick to using 3.1.4 as that’s what I’m doing until this is sorted out properly. Other option is to use the 1200-modules and/or use Blizzkick with the 1230 MKIV. Watch Chris Edwards video about not using the ROM update; [ Show youtube player ] |

Strange, on my 1200 with your very same blizzard mk. Iv the pcmcia works fine under os 3.2 (not tried with 3.2.1 yet) with both cf and ethernet cards because as being said the blizzard 1230 use 32-bit memory (otherwise you couldn't address more than 8MB of fast ram) which doesn't interfere with pcmcia at all. Because for me finding a working pcmcia cf card for amiga has never been easy maybe 3.2 could have degraded compatibility a little bit and now your cf card doesn't work anymore.

Adding to the knowledge..
Amiga 1200 with TF1260, 3.2 ROM with 3.2.1 OS, PCMCIA Wifi card. Very unstable system when wifi is enabled. It will crash without overclocking the TF1260 and doing file transfers over wifi. Without WIFI enabled, the system is stable even when overclocked. I did not have any problems with wifi when using 3.1.4 |
