Wanted: IDE cable/interface

Hi, i'm after a cable/adapter to allow me to connect both a hard drive and a cd drive to my 1200. I've already got a hard drive but the cable only allows 1 device.
I've just bought one of these off of the ebay to connect to my cd drive.

any advice or anyone who has any cables would be really appreciated.

Are we talking here of 40 pin cable (A4000) or 44 pin cable (A600/A1200)?

its a 1200 so 44pin.. the hard drive is a 44pin and the cd drive is 40pin.

umm thanks for the link. i already had it.

sorry if i seem confused but i'm not used to posting a wanted advert on a used kit forum and being pointed out to buy new!

i think i may have kind of made a makeshift cable out of a couple of broken ones and a 3.5" > 2.5" adapter so i'm not in any desperate situation for one.. not one to justify a £15 purchase yet anyway
