i like to evaluate/find little differences behaviour

first, thank you for this, cause atm i'm playing both the latest 090 and 091 versions
i just missed some inbetween releases (08x) and would like to also try if still possible

i noticed a little odd thing comparing the latest 090 and 091;
i like to play just using two keys to rotate the car left and right, and a third one (almost unused ) to brake
now using this particular setting, with the 090 version i have a little faster and smoother response in the car control, compared to the 091

same WinUAE setting

EDIT i just grabbed from the ftp both 084 and 081

Just the history

v0.91 (16.09.2023)

- now highscores are saved even when not completing a level
- permanent cheat from whdload works
- no highscore or record saves if cheat is enabled (either with
whdload or with special names original cheat)

v0.90 (17.07.2023)

- Now starts from AmigaDOS without issues (VBR wasn't 0 in all configs)
- High scores & best times saved

v0.89 (12.03.2023)

- Added fast fetch mode (AGA 64 bit fetch), game runs faster on real machine
(huge thanks to ross for help with display centering, modulo, etc.)
- Fixed display issues on some configurations

Before 0.89 the game is slow as hell because of missing AGA Fetch mode. 0.90 and 0.91 versions only differ by highscore/best times save

If a CD32 joypad is connected, joypad read routine takes a few cycles, which rarely makes a difference.

However I've zoned a few previous version archives that I had kept.

ok, after having completed a couple of times both easy and normal leagues, with different hw configs and game versions, i can share some results i had here

def the latest v0.91 is the more complete version if using WHDLoad, all is working great, nothing to report

about the DOS mode instead, both the v091 and v090 have a black screen issue kicking in after a while

the same randomly black screen doesnt happen when using v89 or previous DOS versions

hope it will help on your side, i had fun replaying this with added colors

im hopeless for the difficult league
