EAB Chrome Dark Mode
Does eab have a dark mode setting?
I have my windows setup in dark mode already but everytime I open eab in chrome I get the standard eab white mode ![]() |

Dark Reader works great on EAB, and on every other website as a bonus!
I don't think I could browse the modern web without that extension. ![]() |

I don't think vBulletin 3.8 is maintained any longer, so highly unlikely for us to see a dark theme. I guess we'll have to stick to browser exensions

Seems doable with a bit (not much) of work :

I have always been of the belief that if a browser extension can do it, that is preferred. Otherwise you're left up to the time, budget and capabilities of site software maintainers. better to have cookie cutter solutions than to need X custom solutions for whatever website you visit.

I'm still using Dark Reader since opening this thread, and it's great for general use... Though the color of read/non read threads in eab is very similar so it can be slightly confusing...
Either way I still prefer the dark effect Dark Reader gives |

the problem i have with browser addons/extensions is that i simply have massive trust issues with what they have access too, they are too broad and often vague, almost or just as bad as phone permissions.

cant find the news article i originally read, but there have been a few stories of open source projects that offered 2 buttons for downloads, the open source code stuff and a compiled/release project and malware/viri experts had found some bad actors, so the common file people typically download had "extra" bad stuff the open cource code version did not, basically bad and cleansed versions. various things do look very interesting but im too paranoid these days to use many of these things that in all honesty should be basic features in programs, like dark reader for browsers. |
