Large HD Guide

Hi,
We do not have a large HD guide, and for noobs it can be quite daunting trying to set up a large HD.
I would like to ask the Amiga community if any of you kind souls would like to write a guide and take screenshots as you do it.
I would then tidy it up and host it on my personal web space forever and a day for all to see. It would never be taken down, and very rarely would it go off-line. I would also keep any links updated the best I can and host small files.
I know Thomas is good with HD related things, so any offers anyone?

I think this is a great idea... I was meaning to write a guide on using FastATA as a lot of ppl seemed to have problems with it, but I never get round to doing it, so I won't put my hand up for this one

Things to consider are which OS (i.e. 3.1/3.9), which hard drive connector (amiga mb IDE, third party ide, scsi), what size hard drive (>4gb, >128GB lba48), real amiga only vs prepped using winuae.

EDIT: Maybe it could be added to the EAB wiki to keep it all in a central place: http://wiki.abime.net/

The wiki would be a better place.
I have no idea why it's not there already to be honest.

Great idea Eclipse, as i`m planning to buy a bigger CF card (8 or 16 GB) as my hd and really don`t know where to start to prepare it correctly (format, blocks and all that parameters).

Just search all the posts written by Thomas and you'll find all the large HD in Amiga info you want. Then please compile it into the wiki.
