WinUAE with 1280*1024 resolution

I'm trying to get WinUAE to run at my monitor's native resolution, and it works at that resolution, but Workbench and games are only displayed in the top left corner of the screen.
I've tried setting the resolution to 640*512 by changing the config file in wordpad, but it defaults to 640*480. I tried making a 640*512 resolution in Powerstrip, but no matter what I do it still uses 640*480 resolution with the extra 32 pixels cut from the bottom of the screen.
Is there any way of getting WinUAE to pixel-resize 640*512 or 320*256 amiga screens to 1280*1024?

Thanks

For games use OpenGL filters.

For Workbench and applications add RTG memory and install Picasso96.

Thanks, that helped a bit. It's a shame I can't get my monitor to display 640*512, which I don't understand because it's native 1280*1024 is an integer multiple. Using 1280*1024 is working OK though, but it's slow with any of the filters
