Fastest Amiga Driving Games

I choose F1 published by Domark it is the fastest driving i've experienced on any amiga. It even beats the pants of many of todays pc and console driving games. How did they ever get such fast speeds whilst keeping the gameplay was pure genious.

What was your fastest driving game on the amiga. The fastest one that retained full game play, at top driving speeds ?

What do you think is the scariest drive, driving Game ?

No Second Prize is the fastest and smoothest with the best control (analog mouse).

I'd say F1, too, it is pretty nippy.

Oh I'm sorry, I didn't realise games were rated on how fast they are

And Vroom, using the same engine.

Outrun Europe was almost too fast. As far as I can remember the game objects had cool zoom effects.
E.g. in contrast to Lotus 2 you can see larger pixels before they disappear.
That´s why the scrolling was really smooth.

Fast first time i played it at fast speed. After playing for a while a lower speeds, i felt nausea. Again i felt the same playing need for speed on the pc, and thats a fast driving game.

Maybe i'm also taking in the scenery while driving, without knowing i am. Not that much scenery can be looked at, at high speed, while having to concentrate on the driving. Maybe need for speed has so much going on, that i felt nausea while playing it. Though for F1 that should not be the case not a lot of scenery, it must be due to the high speed it goes.

I wonder how fast it is on today huge tv screens, wouldn't suprise me if it seems faster even more. Has anyone played F1 on a big tv screen or projector size tv screen. Was it as fast or did it seem even faster. And was the gameplay still their at high speeds on a big screen.

Vroom uses the same game engine. I'll have to load up vroom, to compare who has the best gaming, between them.

For speed is not the only ingrediant that is needed for a good driving game. I think speed, gameplay, adrenelin, excitement. And some driving games have an abilty, that can scare me shiltless time after time.

Are we talking "3D" or vertical? 'Cause I'm pretty sure Overdrive is one of the fastest top-down racers ever created. It's like Super Sprint zoomed in!

Drivin' Force has a good speed rendering.
It's a good challenge and far better than Power Drift.

I tried some bike games, most couldn't even stay on the bike before toppling over. Fastest bike game i played so far was Road Rash. It was on the pc or ps1 it was very fast. Worst was the hand and arm ache that follows playing it. Having to fight just to make it round tight corners. Good gameplay for the fast steep road hills and dips. When the bike takes off you believe it, all on us or canadian, country tarmac type roads.

For other os off road bike games, there was one made on the pc. Where when you got the the game boundary edge it would flip you back as from a rubber band. It was a trial bike racing type game. But allowed you to roam around freely, which was the best gameplay mode. I cannot remember the game name. But was great fun to play and challenging climbing mountains and hills on a trail bike. And believed again was riding the bike, another good game playing game.

That sounds exactly like ATV on the PS2, one of the early titles. You sure it was PC?

I'd have to give some of the others mentioned here a go to compare, but I remember Indy 500 being pretty fast. (Although, I might be remembering that with an Adspeed, 14mhz CPU...) But then, the best thing about Indy 500 wasn't the speed or playing it correctly, but turning around and driving head on into the rest of the cars for an incredible multi-car top speed crash.

Sounds good gameplay to me.
